  • I am Anish Shrestha an Indigenous Youth Activist hailing from Newar indigenous community of Nepal. I am very actively engaged and representing indigenous peoples and youth voices and concerns in local, national, international levels. 
  • I am doing advocacy on indigenous peoples and youth issues from more than five years.I am affiliated with number of social organizations. I presently serve as General Secretary of Youth for Environment, Education and Development Foundation (YFEED Foundation) in Nepal. I am also representing my local organization in Asia Young Indigenous Peoples Network (AYIPN), Philippines as Member of its Council of Leaders (CoL).
  • I as an individual, I have particularly worked in human rights advocacy for young peoples at my country Nepal from including in the process of sustainable development goals.I have basically experience and expertise about human rights, rights of indigenous peoples and promotion of gender equality, quality education and Climate Actions for the planet. I have worked specifically for advancing the rights of youth in the country to empower, particularly the indigenous youth by raising their awareness and educating the young peoples on various issues confronting them and their local communities.I have also participated in many important events about indigenous peoples, youth rights and post 2015 development agenda in local, national and international levels.
  • I expect to obtain a general knowledge of International policy approaches especially to SDG 7,9,11 and 13 from this online workshop courses. I strongly believe that this Workshop will equip me with necessary theoretical skills to engage with current global and local challenges on environmental and climate issues in insightful and Innovative ways.

  • We YFEED Foundation,Nepal through this project plans to raise mass awareness and produce innovative environment friendly solution's to tackle pressing global issues of clean energy, climate change and global warming.

Great to see you posting your intro here!

I like your photo with you at a UN-type desk for "Children and Youth", as it shows you in an engaged role with a friendly attitude!

I have edited that photo (using Photoshop to reduce the resolution and file size from 3.1 MB down to 75K.   This file will allow your group area of this forum to load much more quickly!

I also attach a headshot version, as an example suitable for use as your Moodle profile picture.

I hope to see more of the YFEED team posting their introductions here soon!

Thank you very much for your kind reply response and editing and cropping my profile picture and maintain its file size as well make it easy to view and load.This my above posted photo is real photo that was shot in UN Conference Center Plenary Hall at Bangkok,Thailand.It is where i participated in Asia Pacific Ministerial Summit on the Environment 2017 last September and that photo is taken in September 2017 during my participation there as delegate representing from Children and Youth Constituency of Asia Pacific Regional CSO Engagement Mechanism (AP-RCEM)  

I have duly changed my Moodle personal profile photo as advised and edited picture provided by you.I have also reached to my team and messaged them to post their personal photo and short description here in our dedicated group forum and they will very soon be completing the works.

I am Gokul Kandel. I am an Social Youth Activist, climate activist and youth motivator from Nepal. I am actively engaged in different activities representing youth from different sector in national level.

I am doing general advocacy for youth for their right and also doing climate advocacy. I am Youth Livelihood Program Coordinator of Youth for Environment, Education and Development Foundation (YFEED Foundation), Nepal.

As individual, I have worked in the sector of environment and sustainable development goals in my country. I am also climate activist, I have many experience of working for climate action and I want to relate how human right is deteriorated by climate change (burning issue).

Generally, I focus on SDG goals number 7, 9, 11, 13 and 15. I am sure that the workshop will help to improvise my personal knowledge and thinking capacity. Similarly, I am sure that the workshop will accelerate my learning capacity about environment and sustainable development goals,

By the help of YFEED Foundation, Nepal, we will encourage all people to generate innovative idea and help to sustain basic human and environmental rights.

My name is Abinash Thapa Magar . I am from Nepal and i work for Youth for Environment, Education and Development Foundation (YFEED Foundation), Nepal. I have done Bachelor's in Forestry Science from Institute of Forestry, Tribhuvan University. As an individual, I am currently working as Assistant Conservation Officer in Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation, Nepal since 2013. 

In the online workshop course, I hope to get theoretical foundation, practical and international experience that will pave my way to a good understanding of climate sensitive economic system using adaptive management tools. Further, unequivocal climate change and alarming threats to natural resources foreseen by specialists has driven to be more inquisitive about global environmental challenges. I also intend to improve rural livelihoods through sustainable agricultural production and Eco-tourism. 

We YFEED Foundation,Nepal through this project plans to develop resilient ways of coping climate change sharing environment-friendly knowledge across globe and contribute to the marginalized rural communities for livelihood improvement.

Hi, I am Krishna Bahadur Khadka a Social Youth Activist and IT professional from Nepal. I am engaged in youth’s advocacy at a different level in my country. I have completed my BSc in Multimedia Technology from London Metropolitan University Nepal Campus Islington College. 

I am currently serving as the President of Youth for Environment, Education, and Development Foundation (YFEED Foundation). Besides, I do provide consultancy services to private companies of Nepal. I am the students of Information Technology but I always love to be a part of social ventures and I believe that the fusion of Information Technology and social activities will create a remarkable impact in our society. The main reason behind the establishment of YFEED foundation is also the same.

Additionally, as of my social activism, I am specifically focused on human rights, youth educations (digital education),  environment and sustainable developments. I have also participated in a different seminar about youth empowerment and human rights at national and international level.

I expected to learn more about SDGs goals especially focused on 7,9,11 and 13 during the period of this online workshop. I believed that this workshop will help me to get comprehensive knowledge and will give me a platform to share my ideas as well.

Actually, that picture was taken in Villaggio Mall, Doha, Qatar when I went there to attend 2016 Asia Regional Forum on Business and Human Rights held on 19th - 20th April 2016.

My name is Mr. Amit Dahit. I was born in Duruwa VDC Ward no 7 Gabdhawa Dang, Province no.05,Nepal.I am a young Nepalese citizen with sound physique and high enthusiasm to engaged in social works. 

I am from Indigenous Tharu ethnicity.I have completed my post-graduation M.Sc in Environmental Science from Khwopa College of Environmental Science affiliated to Tribhuvan University,Nepal majoring in Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management. I did my thesis in climate change i.e “ Local People’e Perception on Climate Change its impacts and Adaptation Measures in Darkh VDC at Kailali District of Nepal”.

I have keen interest in Environment and livelihood improvement, Environmental Conservation, Climate Change Issues, Alternative & Clean Energy, Carbon Sequestration, Wildlife and Ecology, Research Survey works. 

I started my professional career from the BASE, Organization where i was appointed as a Social Mobilizer in Inclusive Resource Management Initiative Project from 22nd June 2015 - 31st July 2016. Then After I got Opportunity to work in Oxfam Nepal as a Disaster Risk Reduction Officer (DRR) under the program Nepal Earthquake Response and Recovery from 6th August 2016- 20th June 2017.

I have also recently worked with Batas Foundation,Nepal as DP - DRR Officer in its Integrated, Inclusive and Resilient Rehabilitation of Earthquake affected-Communities through Build Back Better Approach Project mainly funded and supported by Lutheran World Federation (LWF).

I am currently serving as Executive Committee Member and Program Director of Youth for Environment, Education and Development Foundation (YFEED Foundation), Nepal and i presently oversee the program designing and operation as well supervise project activities in the organization especially on Environment, Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reductions.

In conclusion I, am very much concerned with the Climate Change Impacts and Disaster also hugely motivated to work in the field of my choice which inspire me to keep my deep fascination in the field of climate change and Disaster. On my part I, can assure my dedication and creativity. I trust that enthusiasm and strong determinations will help me to enable my creativity and support to achieve my SDGs expertise.

My name is Soney Rai. Currently, I am pursuing Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Sunway College, (Nepal). I completed BSC (HONS) in Multimedia Technologies from Islington College affiliated with London Metropolitan University (UK).

Besides that I am very much interested and have participated in different kinds of volunteering programs and social activities like teaching, giving free counselling to students, conducting environmental cleanliness campaigns etc. As I am a Motion graphics designer and Video editor by profession, I would like to contribute my knowledge and experiences in creating beautiful multimedia content for our future projects for (YFEED) Youth for Environment, Education and Development Foundation. The videos will help to create awareness, give social message, and help us to connect to the large mass and also help to achieve our team’s goal.

I hope this workshop will be very fruitful as I can learn more about SDG in depth and exchange my viewpoints.
