Assessment Task: (100 total points available)

  1. Identify and describe a primary e-Learning model/strategy for your Lesson Plan, based on the learning theories studied in class. (10 points)
    .
  2. Generate a design of a specific Lesson Plan for a unit involving two hours of face-to-face or online "contact time" on any topic, and set up the learning activities on the Moodle (EDU) practice course area provided at: https://moodle.edu.hku.hk/course/view.php?id=295  (10 points)

  3. Lesson Plan ILOs and activities: (20 points)
    1. Create clearly assessable Intended Learning Outcomes based on observable behaviors (recommend SOLO verbs). (5 pts)
    2. Create and describe engaging and collaborative Teaching and Learning Activities and explain how they will train your students to achieve the ILOs. (5 pts)
    3. Create and describe Assessment Tasks and explain how the criteria will accurately support/evaluate their progress towards the ILOs. (5 pts)
    4. Identify if the ATs are formative (support learning) or summative (evaluate learning), and justify why.  (5 pts)

  4. Generate a logical and coherent Constructive Alignment Diagram of how your TLAs support your ILOs, and how your ATs accurately evaluate learning.  (20 points)

  5. Construct logical and coherent arguments which relate learning sciences theory, pedagogical perspectives, and research to the teaching practice evidenced in each activity in your lesson.  You should identify where other e-Learning perspectives influence your design, explain why you chose them, and justify their application to your practice.  (20 points)

  6. Analyze and critically reflect on how your lesson plan improves on the issues / shortcomings of the design you evaluated in Assignment #1.  (20 points)
